CHS vs RI
The National Inter-School Floorball Championships resumes after the long break with the team facing Raffles Institution in their first game. The players have had time to improve on their skills over the past month and were ready to execute the game plan against their opponents. Every team has stepped up their play and it is proving to be a difficult stage of the tournament where all teams are capable of taking something away from the matches. No teams can be underestimated.
The team started off quite well, containing the waves of attacks from their opponents until midway through the period before conceding an unfortunate goal. Raffles Institution doubled their scoreline a minute later and added a third a minute from time.
National Inter-School Floorball Championships 2010 (‘C’ Division)
Catholic High School vs Raffles Institution
Choa Chu Kang Sports Hall
2-7 (0-3, 2-2, 0-2)
After some minor adjustments to the tactics, the boys began to have more chances to attack. An interception and return pass from Warren after drawing 2 defenders with him put Jie Ying clear and he made no mistake with his shot into the corner. Another opportunistic free hit saw Jie Ying took a clear shot at goal which the Raffles Institution defender could do nothing about other than deflecting it into his goal. However, the opponents managed to score 2 goals as well to maintain their 3-goal margin.
The final period was a tense affair as both sides were cautious not to commit too many mistakes. It was level until the 10th minute when Raffles broke through and Jed had no chance with the shot. The game began to open up a lot more and the final goal was scored against the team before the time ran out.
It was a good game by our expectations with the players fighting hard to hold their opponents. The players lost to a better team and no favours can be expected in this highly competitive competition.

Sad that CHS lost the game! Believe everybody has a fighting chance to win, be it against a better player. Hope the team can pull together and play as one for the championship. Aim to be champions.
Yup, nothing else, boys!
Agreed, Warren’s mom!!! Nothing but being champions~
Most importantly, pull together and play as one. No team can achieve unless they are united.Team spirit ppl!
Sry bout the power play guys…
(((
lol…lost as expected… i mean if u think about it in attack or in defence we were always outnumbered 4-2!!!
@Amos , If you expected to lose , then what’s the point of even playing in the first place?
then obviously u dont get my point cren.i m trying 2 say that our play was damn fail…ecspecially the forwards…
y u say our play fail??
U gt a better one?
Nothing good seems to come out from amos..
Firstly , Amos. I would like to correct your english on behalf of your english teacher (whoever he/she is). Please take note of your grammar , spacing between words and spelling. Its especially , not ecspecially. Anyway moving onto floorball , the play for the team is determined by the coach , so are you trying to imply that his plan is fail? Don’t push the blame onto others once you lose , if the team loses , they lose as one. What makes you think you played well?
players shld be a horse n listen to the coach instructions n nt create a plan urself tat is so different from wad the coach tell u to do
we dont want internal problems..
what does that gotta do with a horse.lol
And since when i got a better plan?
amos, what’s your plan…. seem interesting.
intresting but until proven practical we should just stick to the 1 that we have… n i dun think its bad, i think we just dunno how to execute it properly i mean seniors prob used the same thing last year right?
it works, if every one does their part. look at victoria 10 goals nia
Hi we played 4 and lost and we are not good enough. We have a lot to learn from the other teams. Maybe time for a professional coach to come in.
