Singapore Combined Schools 2010
The Singapore Combined Schools’ Boys Team was formed early this year in March after a series of selections and trials. Darrell Er, Joshua Lee, Jarryl Chan and Ryan Cheng were selected from Catholic High School to participate in the Singapore Floorball League Division 1 tournament. The fixtures did not come easy and the team was scheduled to face the defending champions, Skools Innebandy in their first match. It was an eye opener for the players and the experience gained as a result will be very valuable in their development.
After a series of 3 losses, the team were to face Hurricanes, consisting of NTU alumni players. It was a game that the team had a good chance of achieving a positive result. Everyone was geared up for the match and the players did not disappoint.
The boys played extremely well to take the game to Hurricanes and came away with their first victory of the season. However, they will have to continue this fine form when they face NUS Nemesis for another win the following day.

The Singapore Schools Boys team finished the season with 2 wins, 1 draw and 7 losses to obtain a total of 7 points with a slightly superior goal difference to finish in 10th position. They were unlucky not to be able to win their final game, which would have put them in the 9th position. Nevertheless, the team managed to achieve their Division 1 status, meeting the objective that was set before the season.
It was an enjoyable season with the players and hopefully, this experience will put them in good stead for their future games!
