VS vs CHS
Victoria School hosted another friendly match with Catholic High School before the start of the ‘C’ Division tournament. The players were also eager to pit themselves against them after the humbling experience last September. It was also a good opportunity for some of the Secondary 1 players to experience playing against a top team.

13-4 (3-0, 2-0, 0-2, 4-1, 4-1)
It was a bad start for the team as they quickly fell behind by 3 goals in the first period, courtesy of numerous cases of bad positioning by the defenders. They were unable to cope with the quick 1-2 passes and on top of that, the forwards were not tracking back enough. Another 2 goals were conceded in the second period, which was slightly better except that the forwards were unable to make much inroads into the Victorian goal area.
The players put in more effort in the third period as they kept a clean sheet while Jieying made a pass from behind the goalpost which was kicked into his own goal by a Victorian defender. Jieying then scored with a well taken shot from the right which went into the far bottom corner of the goal.
It was all we could muster as our opponents turned on the pressure to put 4 goals beyond Jed in the 4th period. Jiali scored a consolation goal with his trademark long shot.
The 5th period ended with a similar scoreline as Eugene could do nothing about his defence which kept moving out of position each time when put under pressure. Shengyen scored a goal just before the period ended in what was a terrible defensive display from the team.
It was a poor performance and the players must learn quickly form their mistakes if they were to do well in the upcoming tournament.
i think jiali’s is more of random spamming of long shots…???

Against siglap, he took 5 long shot and 3 went in sia.
As usual, i own-goaled…… They just keep shooting me and i deflected 1 in..
wanton lets face it… u n jl r no diff from siglap… n mine r way more on target n do not hit other peoples jaws…

@9624- u think u very zai issit? if u cant shoot as well as jl then juz keep ur comments to urself. N fyi during siglap match the ball took a deflection off ur stick as well.
