After a promising start of 2 wins on the trot, Team CH suffered their 4th consecutive loss in the league against Xishan Young Flamingos. Contrary to their name, the opposing team consists of several veterans and alumni players from Xishan Primary School. They are definitely no pushovers as their match from the previous week were anything to go by.

The players settled well into the match but were unfortunate to fall behind in the 8th minute to a well taken shot. Shortly after, they added another as their players found space behind our defences.

Just 30 seconds into the second period, the team conceded another goal after failing to cut out the opponents. Ryan pulled a goal back with a great shot that eluded the goalkeeper. However, that did not stop the Flamingos from scoring 2 more goal before the end of the period.

The final period was a much more even affair as the players were determined to reverse the scoreline. Ryan added a second goal with a well taken free hit. Darrell scored with 7 minutes to go to narrow the scoreline to 3-5. Despite scoring 2 goals, the opponents went on to score a further 3 to deflate our morale. Seconds before the match ended, Darrell found time for another goal to finish the match 4-8.

It was a game which we could have taken if not for our disappointing defence again. Team CH must find their form back to try to reverse their fortunes!
