BSS vs VS
The second semi-final is about to start. This game will determine the other finalist in the hotly contested ‘B’ Division Floorball Championships.

Period 1
BSS got the first shot in but the keeper saved well.
BSS looked confident with their purposeful runs and VS keeper had to save again.
BSS scored at 13:24 as the forward dribbled past 2 players and made no mistake with his shot.
A fumble by the BSS keeper had the ball on the line but he recovered to save well.
VS are on the back foot but they will not be a team to give up that easily.
BSS with a long shot that the keeper palmed away, luckily just out of reach of another BSS forward.
VS shot well over when presented with a good chance.
VS were not their usual hard running and passing selves today.
VS equalised at 9:32 with a simple tap in.
The game is too early to tell who will come out on top.
Both teams are keeping it tight at the back.
BSS with a good shot that just went wide.
VS scored with a backhand shot after running around the goal post at 7:53 for the lead.
BSS are losing the ball too easily behind their goal.
A VS deflection misses the goal narrowly.
BSS forward moved up the half court and executed a superb airhook which lobbed over the keeper’s flailing arms for a goal! A wonderful piece of skill which puts BSS level in the game.
However, in all honesty, the keeper should have done better to keep it out but full credit to the player for attempting such audacious skill in a semi-final. Sometimes matches can be won with such brilliance.
VS scored at 3:18. The BSS defenders backed off from the VS last man who shot straight into the bottom corner.
Both sides are evenly matched and the keepers will be the deciding factor as the game continues.
The VS keeper slides off his goal area to deny BSS a one on one opportunity. Great save!
VS keeper saved again!
A VS player found himself with the ball in front of the goal but he opts to try to hook the ball in and failed.
A high ball fumble gave the VS player the ball but he misses on his backhand.
The period ended with VS in the slimmest of lead at 2-3.
Period 2
VS started strongly with the intensity they usually play at. Before long, they find themselves shooting at goal on several occasions.
BSS got close but the keeper deflected the ball to safety.
Another long shot by VS goes high and wide.
VS is on full court pressure now and is duly rewarded with a goal at 11:24 from a goal mouth melee.
VS tactics seemed to be to keep the pressure on the BSS defenders and away from their goal area.
BSS defender dribbles up and find himself in lots of space for a shot. The keeper makes another fantastic save.
VS are penalized with a bench penalty after their keeper saved the ball outside the slot area.
BSS with the penalty. And he scored!
The umpires disallowed the goal as the player had pulled the ball back during the penalty.
BSS continued with their powerplay and scored at 8:30!
The score is 3-4 and VS players are getting nervous. The coach is shouting to his players now.
BSS got their equalizer at 7:04! Great shot by the BSS forward!
VS regained the lead right after the face off with a super shot from the right side at 6:59!
This is becoming an exciting match for the spectators.
A moment of laughter as the BSS defender holds the ball behind the goal and played ‘catching’ with the VS forward.
However as he dribbles out, he loses the ball the the keeper is beaten with an airhook by the VS forward.
A poor piece of play by BSS.
VS keeper made another instinctive save to maintain their 2 goal cushion.
BSS players are finding it hard to break through the VS defences.
A simple square pass by the VS forward at 1:12 to his teammate resulted in another goal! It’s now 4-7 in favour of VS.
A VS pass is deflected over by their own player.
VS comes out of the second period on top and it remains to be seen if BSS can step up in the final period.
Period 3
Both team talks are intense with VS gathered around their goal and BSS sitting attentively before their coach. The buzzer goes and the third period gets underway.
VS kept up their intensity and had a deflection just over.
VS tries an airhook on their free hit which went well wide.
VS failed to deal with the bouncing ball again and BSS took advantage by shooting into the top corner at 12:42.
The game is far from over.
A tame shot by VS proved no problem for the keeper.
VS keeper dives between the legs of his own defender to make a save.
Shot by BSS captain tipped over by the keeper.
BSS could not get a touch to the ball as it bounces before the VS goal.
A great pull back at the far post allowed the BSS forward to squeeze the ball in at the far post at 9:21!
BSS is one goal away from their equalizer now.
7 minutes to go and the scoreline is 6-7 in favour of VS.
BSS forward could not connect the rebound.
VS keeper spread-eagled himself to pick the ball up behind his goal.
VS shot was forced over by a BSS defender.
BSS forward breaks away but fails to pull off the shot.
BSS equalised through their captain at 4:19 to set up the match for an exciting final 4 minutes!
BSS calls for a time out to reorganize.
VS backhand shot goes wide.
Both teams are really pushing it now.
VS shoots into the side netting.
BSS keeper saves a shot.
BSS shot goes wide.
VS keeper concedes another penalty after committing another similar foul!
VS keeper does really well to draw the player away and keep out the shot!
VS has to survive 2 minutes of powerplay though.
BSS comes close, and again.
VS keeper makes another great save
30 seconds left as VS is back to full strength.
11 seconds left as VS is presented with a powerplay at the BSS corner following a slashing foul by BSS.
VS scored the free hit with 11 seconds left! A quick return pass back to the corner and the VS forward spun and laid off the ball across the goal for his unmarked teammate to slap it into goal! Terrific execution by the players to pull off this free hit when it matters!
A tremendous last minute victory by VS and BSS were left to rue their chances especially with the 2 penalty misses.
Great game by both teams!
