NSS shot troubled the keeper but only just.
NSS scored. BMS failed to cut out the pass and the forward made no mistake placing the shot under the keeper.
BMS missed several chances, wasting the efforts of the build up leading to the shot.
NSS almost scored with a quick breakaway as the ball was just out of reach for the forward
BMS kept shooting but NSS were up to the task of blocking and saving the shots.
BMS were unable to get any power behind their shots as they were closed down quickly by NSS.
The period ended at 1-1.
Period 2
NSS misses a clear goal scoring chance after the BMS defenders failed to deal with the bouncing ball.
NSS scored at 13:26 with a superb run across the court and shot to the far post.
NSS were the more offensive side as they settled into the game.
BMS shots blocked by NSS several times.
BMS scored at 11:13. As the forward received the centre pass, he turned and left the defender stranded to beat the keeper.
BMS scored at 10:52 following a run behind the goalpost and wrap around to beat the keeper once again.
NSS had a shot well saved by the keeper.
BMS surged to a 2 goal lead with a counter attack. The keeper missed the ball totally and allowed it to slip under his legs.
NSS is experiencing a bad patch now after a promising start.
The price to pay for committing to attack, leaving the defence vulnerable.
Half the period has gone and BMS has taken the initiative away from NSS.
A long shot by NSS which looked threatening was easily caught by the keeper.
The ball rebounded to a BMS forward but he shot into the keeper with the goal gaping.
The tempo of the match has slowed slightly as both teams played with more caution.
NSS shot stopped by the keeper.
NSS missed another great chance to score, but it was a tough angle.
NSS really need to get their shots on target as they missed another couple of chances.
NSS defender tried to move the ball up only to have it intercepted for a counter attack. For a moment the forward seemed to be wrong footed but he recovered to put it beyond the keeper to lead 5-2 with seconds remaining. A poor piece of play by NSS. The players looked tired.
Period 3
The period began with both sides playing cautiously.
NSS needed to claw back a 3 goal deficit as BMS began the final period with the advantage.
NSS had numerous chances to score but they kept shooting at the keeper when they should have done better. If they managed to put away those shots they would have equalised by now.
No change in scoreline after 8 minutes.
NSS pulled the keeper as they took possession of the ball. The extra man was helpful as they pinned BMS back until they gave away a free hit.
BMS took a time out to restrategize.
BMS seemed to want to maintain control of the game by playing in the NSS corners.
NSS realized this and took opportunity to break away when they win the ball. They almost scored on several occasions.
With 3 minutes left, NSS pulled their keeper again in a bid to overturn the situation and succeeded when they scored on their powerplay.
BMS were unfazed as they won a free hit on the right, they passed the ball to their last man who took a long shot which unfortunately beat the keeper once more.
The game looked almost to be a BMS win with 30 seconds left and as expected, NSS will play out the 3rd/4th position while BMS will be in the finals on Friday.
