The team faced NYP for their fifth game of the season. After 2 wins and 2 losses, the players were eager to do well this time round and everyone looked sharp during the warm up. As the coach briefed the team, the players were reminded to pay more attention on their defence, to settle into the game quickly and block off any shots that may come in. The team got past the first few minutes confidently but on the stroke of the 5th minute, NYP scored a brilliant goal which no one could have stopped.

Following a line change, Jarryl received the ball on the right side of the court and did well to evade his marker to pull off a superb shot which went into the top far corner for the equaliser. The team played extremely hard but NYP were more accurate with their chances and we eventually ended the first period trailing 1-4.

Darius and Louis both scored shortly into the second period before NYP were caught with 2 successive bench penalties for slashing and improper substitution. After putting them under continuous pressure, Joshua scored the equaliser at the death of the period.

The third period would be decisive in terms of which team will be able to take their chances better. Team CH has shown that on any day, the players will be able to take on any opponents and this would be the time to step up their play and be counted upon. Crenshawn scored for the team to take the lead for the first time. However, we were unable to build on it as the team succumbed to 3 more goals from NYP. The game eventually ended 5-8.

The players put in a much better performance today and the only reason we were unable to come out on top was because we were unable to pull off more shots, and get them on target. A better defence and more accurate shooting will definitely be on the drawing board for the next match.
