Right Shoes For The Right Sports

I have lost count of the number of times I had to remind sportsmen to put on proper shoes for training, and whenever I see players running about in their canvas shoes and slipping around, or not being able to make sudden stops and turn, I always wonder how a proper pair of court shoes would probably do wonders to their performances.

The league will be a platform towards preparing for the National Inter-School Floorball Championships, so I hope everyone will do their best and step up your skill level and understanding of the game.

CHS vs SG

Our next friendly opponent was St. Gabriel’s Secondary School, a well trained floorball team. As with all other friendlies, the boys were eager to make an impression. However, it was most important to show that they have made progress in their team play. The ‘C’ Division boys were to play first, but there were several notable absences due to some players going on holiday trips, which was quite a pity. Nevertheless, the match will still have to be played and it will allow the others more match experience at their expenses.

SGS vs CHS

In the series of friendly matches that were arranged, the ‘B’ Division boys travelled to Serangoon Garden Secondary School for a game. It is hoped that these matches would provide the much needed experience in view of the postponement of the league competition. As with every game, the boys were eager to get going but it was the opposing team who scored first before Joshua, Isaac, Ryan and Derek provided the impetus to lead 2-4 by the end of the first period.
