CHS vs HCIS
Having ended the season a week ago, the players were given a break to catch up on their studies and prepare for the examinations. This friendly was postponed as we could not fit it in our schedule earlier on. Although the season was over, this friendly gave the players a chance for some action, as well as a glimpse to how the team will form up for the next season. It was unfortunate however, that only the ‘B’ Division team from HCIS were here, and the Secondary 1 players had to sit out to today.
The first period began on a tentative note as both teams did not know what to expect from each other. However, as the players began to warm up, the intensity increased and HCIS drew first blood by scoring first. Crenshawn and Samuel both scored on our side, but conceded a late equalizer at the end.

4-4 (2-2, 0-1, 2-1)
The second period saw both teams stepping up their defence. Our forwards were guilty of missing several clear chances and HCIS took advantage to take the lead. In the third period, we had the better of chances as Ryan and Crenshawn scored, following another goal from HCIS to draw level seconds before the game ended.
Because of the short break, many players were off the pace and fitness was somehow lacking. Nevertheless. this game gave the Secondary 3 and Secondary 2 players a chance to play together for the first time. There is still a long way to go and with several areas being identified for improvement, the players will have to work very hard when training resumes soon.
