Top 3 Performers (‘C’ Division)

The top 3 performers in the National Floorball Inter-School Championships 2009 for the ‘C’ Division will be listed here. I will also briefly state the reasons for inclusion. Let this be a motivation for everybody to vie for the top 3 spot!

Catholic High School vs Bukit Merah Secondary School
17 April 2009

  1. Joshua Lee
    Kept pushing on with determination and got a goal.
  2. Billy Chiam
    A revelation in the last two games with some solid defending and forays upfront.
  3. Darrell Er
    Put in a disciplined performance and made the best of his chances.

Raffles Institution vs Catholic High School
15 April 2009

  1. Billy Chiam
    Defended very well and made full use of this body to block off the opponents.
  2. Ryan Cheng
    Kept his head up and set up a goal for his line.
  3. Nigel Tan
    Reduced his errors and played an almost faultless game.

Catholic High School vs Northbrooks Secondary School
13 April 2009

  1. Jonathan Ong
    Called on to play in Eugene’s absence and did not disappoint.
  2. Ryan Cheng
    Showed his determination in the match.
  3. Joshua Lee
    Dependable in defence and a useful option in attack.

Northland Secondary School vs Catholic High School

  1. Eugene Lee
    Kept full concentration to keep out all shots by the opponents.
  2. Joshua Lee
    Always threatening with his runs and dribbles.
  3. Ryan Cheng
    Never gave up, stuck to the game plan and kept pushing on.

Catholic High School vs Canberra Secondary School
1 April 2009

  1. Samuel Yu
    Displayed great determination to score and was on form today, scoring a total of 8 goals.
  2. Darrell Er
    Combined extremely well with Samuel, assisting in almost all his goals.
  3. Joshua Lee
    Anchored the defence well and always dangerous on the break. Scored one goal.

East View Secondary School vs Catholic High School
25 March 2009

  1. Darrell Er
    Played very well today and was on target with many shot. Scored 2 goals.
  2. Samuel Yu
    Used his speed to keep up the pressure on his opponents. Combined well with Darrell and assisted both goals.
  3. Joshua Lee
    Was running all over the court and defended very well. Had one goal disallowed.

Catholic High School vs Greendale Secondary School
23 March 2009

  1. Eugene Lee
    Was outstanding in goal, keeping out many shots to keep us in the game.
  2. Joshua Lee
    Made his presence felt in the game and defended well.
  3. Samuel Yu
    A constant threat to the opponents, scoring 2 goals in the game.

Si Ling Secondary School vs Catholic High School
10 March 2009

  1. Joshua Lee
    Held the defence well and provided many chances for the forwards with his passing.
  2. Ryan Cheng
    Scored 4 goals to bring his total tally to 7 in this game.
  3. Derek Sng
    Defended well and scored two rare goals on his forays forward.

Bedok South Secondary School vs Catholic High School
3 March 2009

  1. Joshua Lee
    Dribbled well to create chances for others and himself. Held the defence well and scored two goals.
  2. Ryan Cheng
    Played the ball smartly, tracked back to defend, and scored 3 good goals.
  3. Darrell Er
    Led from the front by example and scored 3 goals.
