The top 3 performers in the National Floorball Inter-School Championships 2009 for the ‘C’ Division will be listed here. I will also briefly state the reasons for inclusion. Let this be a motivation for everybody to vie for the top 3 spot!

The ‘C’ Division team began their season today against Bedok South Secondary School. After witnessing the failure of the senior team to qualify for the second round, the junior team were careful not to overestimate their opponents. With a full squad of players on the team roster, we were ready for the season. No doubt a few players were nervous, all focus was on the game the moment the whistle went. Even the players on the bench were anxiously cheering the lines on.

In the second semi-final, perennial favourites Bukit Merah Secondary School faced off against Northland Secondary School to vie for a place in the finals against Victoria Schools. This crunch fixture has always been evenly contested and it was widely expected that the game today would be likewise. However, Northland finished runner-up in their group and that gave Bukit Merah a slight advantage coming into the game.

Victoria School consolidated its position as a top floorball team after they emerged top of their group in the second round, by beating Staint Gabriel’s Secondary School in the first semi-finals of the National Inter-School Floorball Championships with a score of 11-3.
