This was a crucial game as a win would keep us in contention to qualify for the second round. After the humbling on Monday, the boys were determined not to have any repeat of that performance. This was evident during the warm up and pre-game preparation as everyone paid full attention to the coach and geared up towards the game. The game was subsequently played at a very high tempo and it proved to be a very close and exciting match right down to the final second.

Greendale Secondary School proved to be our nemesis as they once again got a favourable result against us in our third match today. The situation is as such that a win would put us in a comfortable position to qualify for the second round with two games to go, with a potentially difficult game on Wednesday coming up. However, it was not to be as our opponents was psyched up enough to take the game to us instead, helped by numerous defensive mistakes on our part.

Having played two matches in the inter-school competition, it was to be another 2 weeks before the next game. Hence this friendly was arranged to maintain our match fitness and prepare ourselves for the games ahead. It was a bright and sunny Wednesday morning as everyone made their way to Raffles Institution, eager as always to be able to compete with others. There is always a first for everything and this was to be our first friendly to be played out of our school.
